As a sports psychology expert experienced in working with teams and schools I have seen the tangible benefits young people can gain from better understanding how to achieve concentration, focus and confidence both in terms of sports and in life in general.

I teach practical exercises that will enable them/you to:-

While you might not have the physical ability to play like your sporting heroes yet (!) you can achieve and have the same mental power and control as they do.

Our mind can be trained like any other muscle in the body. The more time you exercise it, work on it and use it the stronger, fitter and more powerful it becomes. By exercising and improving your mental fitness and power you will significantly improve your sporting abilities and concentration.

With all schools building for curriculum for excellence through positive behaviour and relationships, sports psychology offers a vital set of tools and skills that enable pupils to use positive self-talk and develop the mind set to stay focused and visualise a positive future and outcome both in the sporting arena and life in general.

About Me

After 20 years of playing and coaching sport all over the UK, Europe and the Middle East I have found that it is us holding ourselves back and preventing ourselves from playing our best game.

Either consciously or unconsciously, we prevent ourselves from playing our best game and match.

All too often at such a stressful and exposed time in a young pupils life they are not only questioning what is happening around them but what is happening within. They are constantly bombarded with negative inputs from their own inner voice which without training can lead to a loss of trust, confidence, and a fragility that can stay with them through schooling and life.

At such an impressionable age it is vital to capture all their good qualities and allow them to flourish and express themselves in sport or other areas of their schooling, as this will teach good habits for future success and failures that we all have to learn to deal with!
We’ve all seen in sport where even the world’s best athletes can lose concentration, become frustrated and focus on how badly they are playing rather than the game they want to play.
